Light and Motion

After years spent with a huge tripod and large format cameras, cultivating the sharp, finely crafted photographic image in the so-called f 64 tradition, I began to experiment with chance, movement, and more spontaneous responses to my subjects. Usually in motion when I released the shutter, a hand-held 35 mm camera and flash unit were used to explore some of what might now be call ICM techniques. For this series I avoided using any viewfinder.
